Welcome to Geocache at our Demonstration Forest

Families will enjoy this exciting quest for treasure while hiking and exploring our Demonstration Forest!

We are host to a geocache at our Demonstration Forest in Williamsburg Township.  For those of you new to geocache, this is a fun game of treasure hunting in the new-age for families, groups or even alone.  A Global Positioning System (GPS) is used to locate something hidden on the earth (geo refers to earth and cache refers to hiding or storing).  It is best to start with a map of the area that you are exploring.  You can purchase one at our office in the Pine Crest Business Park, 42 Engdahl Drive, Dover-Foxcroft for $5.00.

While navigating your way through the demonstration forest you can follow our interpretive trail signs.  Be sure to bring a compass with you for safety measures, GPS's do not always have one.  Our location coordinates (geocache waypoints) are:

Latitude 45 degrees, 22 minutes, 22.4 seconds North and Longitude 69 degrees, 5 minutes, 1.9 seconds West.

Our geocache is a Traditional Cache consisting of a container, log book, and  small treasures.

~Note your discovery in our log book.

        ~Take a treasure &

        ~Leave a treasure!
