The Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District (PCSWCD) is partnering with the East Sangerville Grange (ESG) once again to bring you some fun at our upcoming Cider Pressing event! This event will be held at the Law Farm Nature Trails, Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday September 14th, from 11AM-1PM. Cider Pressing is open to the public and all ages and abilities are welcome to come press with us!

Whether you are a cider-pressing pro or you have never done it before, this event is sure to offer a good time for all. We will have a potluck lunch, so be sure to bring a potluck dish to share. In addition to a potluck dish, you will need to bring your own pre-washed apples, jars or containers and be ready for an afternoon of pressing, fun and great company. If you don’t have apples of your own, don’t let that stop you from joining in! You can purchase apples from local orchards and there will even be apples to pick and press at the Law Farm! There will be plenty at the event to share.

In addition to pressing cider, PCSWCD will have a limited number of hazelnuts available for people to husk and take home. Last, but not least, we will be awarding our 2024 Volunteer of the Year at this event.

We will have lots to do, great food to eat and produce and wonderful people to celebrate. We look forward to seeing you there!
