Testimonials From PCSWCD Supporters

“Bissell Brothers Brewing is proud to support the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District. Our contributions go directly to initiatives that make a difference where it counts: community education, enjoyment of nature, and the sustainability of our natural resources. PCSWCD goes above and beyond to provide knowledge and fulfillment to our community, and that’s precisely why we were drawn to them once opening our Three Rivers location in Milo, and that’s why we continue to collaborate with them on various projects.  Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District helps provide us with a dynamic organization that offers staff and volunteers who are passionate, involved, and making a significant impact on Piscataquis County.” – Brittany Cunningham, Bissell Brothers Three Rivers

“I love working with Kacey Weber! We have been so fortunate to have her instructing our Grade 4 students here at SeDoMoCha. The students are so excited when Mrs. Weber takes them outside. She teachers them how to use a variety of resources and then has students immediately apply their learning. One of their favorites is a scavenger hunt to identify trees. Her lessons are engaging, collaborative, and always focused on teaching students the importance of what is right outside our doors.”

Carolyn Clark, SeDoMoCha Librarian

“Over the last 40 years we have participated with PCSWCD in many of their conservation programs. The goal to protect and enhance our natural resources and to raise community awareness about land and water conservation appeals to us as stewards of our farm and members of the greater community.  We appreciate and support PCSWCD’s efforts in all they do.”

Barbara & Jason Kafka, Checkerberry Farm

“One of our favorite programs each summer is when we get to collaborate with Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District to deliver the Teen Wilderness Expedition at the AMC Lodges. From paddling to hiking to nature exploration, PCSWCD is invested in getting teens from the local community outside to enjoy the amazing natural resources right here in Piscataquis County and through programs like these, we are able to foster the outdoor leaders of tomorrow.”

Steph Perkins, Piscataquis County Youth Education Coordinator, Appalachian Mountain Club
